My Write Space

Posted on September 8, 2013
My new office
My new office

Spent all day yesterday finally getting my office organized after a crazy summer of moving, working, and travel. After seven years of sharing space, I now have a writing place all my own! Found the perfect leather writing/reading chair on Craigslist. A bargain! Not to mention my beautiful Craigslist area rug which I love. I’m kind of a Craigslist junkie. Unpacked some of my boxes, moved a dusty old desk from my parent’s storage, and dug out some of my artwork from the closet upstairs. So happy! It’s starting to feel like home. Just in time to start edits on Pretty Dark Nothing 2. Here’s a few pictures of my writing cave.

Inspiring! Glad you’re getting settled. Just in time for autumn hunkering–the best writing season! 🙂 Have a great week, Heather!

Thank you Vaughn! I’m not sure when autumn will hit Texas, sometime in October I expect. I kind of miss the gray mists and crisp nights of Scotland. Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great week too!

I love all the windows. Best of luck with PDN 2 edits. I’m sure your editor will be as tough as ever with you. 😉

Brian! How have you been? Thanks for stopping by. Yes, my editor will be extra tough with me. She’s awesome that way! Hope you’re doing well. I miss chatting with you. 🙂

    Heather,
I so enjoyed meeting you the other night, and can’t wait to read your book! I love your new office, especially the cool Mickey artwork and fabulous, expanse of windows. Happy writing in this space!

Thanks, Rebekah! It was great meeting you at the signing as well. I love Mickey and am a total Disney freak. The windows are great but it does warm up the room this time of year! Good thing I have two fans to help cool things down. I hope you’re having a great week and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Wow, I wish I had a writing space like that. I’d probably fall asleep on that writing/reading chair though. It looks way too comfortable.

I did almost take a nap on it after lunch. 🙂 It IS comfy. Thanks for stopping by, Jevon. I hope you’re having a great day. Write on!
