Vacation: It’s Over
I’m trying my best to stay awake. It’s only 1:30 in the afternoon and my eyes are drooping, my body confused with the time change. I hate this feeling. We arrived home yesterday around 4:30pm after a 10 hour plane ride from Orlando to Manchester followed by a 5 hour drive back to Scotland. It doesn’t usually take 5 hours, but by this point we had been awake for a full day and had to make frequent stops for caffeine and power naps. Why is sleeping on a plane so hard? I’m sure you’ve seen those pictures of Scotland shrouded in mist. You picture wind-swept moors, weeping grey sky, and men roaming the country side in Kilts. It’s all true, except for the Kilts.
